A BJP corporator and four members of his family were shot dead by three gunmen on Sunday at his residence in the Jalgaon district of Maharastra, police said.
The incident took place late Sunday night when, police said, BJP corporator Ravindra Kharat (55) and members of his family were inside their house. All the injured were rushed to the hospitals nearby but declared dead during treatment. After all the attackers fled the scene but eventually surrendered to the police.
