Red Fort Blast: Delhi Police Search for Second Suspected Car

New Delhi: Delhi Police sources said on Wednesday that they are now looking for another suspected vehicle, a red Ford Eco Sports, which is thought to be a part of that terror module, two days after a blast in a Hyundai i20 car in Delhi’s Red Fort resulted in at least eight fatalities and numerous injuries.Five Delhi Police squads are looking for the red Eco Sport in response to a warning, according to police sources.

The inquiry shows that the suspects had another red automobile in addition to the i20, according to people with knowledge of the current scenario.

Every police station, police post, and border crossing in Delhi has been notified to look for this vehicle.

An notice on the red automobile has also been sent to the police in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Red Fort bomb victims admitted to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital as soon as he arrived from Bhutan on Wednesday.

After visiting Bhutan for two days, Prime Minister Modi arrived at the nation’s capital in the afternoon.

He visited and spoke with the injured at the hospital, wishing them a quick recovery.

Officials and medical professionals at the hospital also briefed PM Modi.

A special team of ten officers was formed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) earlier in the day to look into the explosion that occurred close to Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station.

According to sources on Wednesday, the 10-person special team, which would be headed by NIA ADG Vijay Sakhare, will consist of an IG, two DIGs, three SPs, and the remaining DSP-level officers.

This occurred one day after the Home Ministry turned over the Delhi explosion inquiry to the NIA on Tuesday.

At least eight persons were killed and numerous others were injured when a car registered in Haryana that was parked close to Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station exploded on the evening of November 10.

Investigative agencies are scanning over 1,000 CCTV tape clips because they believe the automobile explosion may have been a suicide strike with the intention of causing as much damage as possible, according to Delhi Police sources.

Additionally, investigative organisations are gathering cell phone dump data from several points throughout Delhi and keeping an eye on social media activity.

In Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Mumbai, high alarms have been issued, and security has been tightened around busy public areas and places of worship.
