Kylie Jenner called photo-sharing app Snapchat "sad", which caused the company a loss of $ 1.3 billion in market value.
Kylie tweeted about the app, “So does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me… ugh this is so sad.”
Her tweet sent the shares of Snap Inc. down more than 6% after she spoke about her disapproval of the redesign of the company's app Snapchat.
She however followed that tweet with another where she said, “still love you tho snap … my first love.”
Snapchat’s redesign was supposed to make the app more approachable to new users, but it has received major backlash from its existing audience, that has even resulted in a petition with over 1.2 million signatures.
One of the main complaints was also that celebrities were removed from the friends tab and instead placed in the Discover tab.
