New Delhi:The Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) class 12 exams in violence-hit areas of northeast Delhi on Thursday have been postponed.

The CBSE said in a statement that considering the request of Delhi's Directorate of Education and to avoid inconvenience to students, staff and parents, the exam has been postponed for the area, but will be conducted in rest of Delhi as scheduled. The exams scheduled for Thursday was English Elective, English Elective C and English Core.

The new date of exam for the affected students will be notified shortly, the CBSE said.
