Nine-day Sri Ram Navami festival also celebrated as Vasantha Navaratri by some temples concluded in Mumbai today.
At Asthika Samaj also known as Sri Ram Mandir in central Mumbai, celebrated by permitting devotees to participate personally by bathing the idols of Ram and his consort. Devotees wait for this day and comes to this temple in Matunga to participate in the Abhishekam. There was also Vedic discourses on all days and cultural programmes in the evenings. We feel blessed after participating in the Abhishekam said a devotee who came with his new born twins.
In another nearby temple named Sri Sankara Mattham the day started with Sri Rama Moola Manthra Japam and homam followed by Sri Vidhya homam and Navavarana pooja .The programme concluded with Poornahuthi and Kalasabhishekams with holy water kept in Pooja for all nine days.
