The newly appointed Ambassador of Estonia to India Ms Marje Luup called on the Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Wed (12 Jun).
Stating that Estonia has emerged as a leader in Cyber Security, e-governance, waste management, metro management and other high end technology areas, the Ambassador called for strengthening cooperation with Maharashtra in business, culture and tourism.
Welcoming the ambassador to Maharashtra, Governor Bais called for strengthening inter university collaboration between Estonian universities and those in Maharashtra. He said the Sanskrit University in Maharashtra will help the University of Tartu in Estonia to resume the teaching of Sanskrit language in that University.
Deputy Head of the Estonian Mission in India Margus Solnson and Honorary Consul in Mumbai Sunil Khanna were present.
