The highly-anticipated Karnataka election results suggests a BJP surge in the state as the Congress stays second while the Janata Dal (S) plays a crucial part with enough seats in third place.
Out of the 222 seats available for counting, BJP leads in 93 seats, Congress at the second place with 79 seats and Janata Dal with 40 seats. JDS is considered to be as a crucial "kingmaker" in the state with both the BJP and the Congress would like to reach out to JDS for a tie-up.
