Rajasthan govt waives fa

Following the footsteps of Rajasthan and Chattisgarh, the Congress government in Rajasthan has written off the agricultural loans in the state. It takes only a few days for the newly appointed Ashoke Gehlot government to write-off all the loans of the farmers. The farmers will get a breather in loans upto Rs. 2 lakh while this move makes a financial burden of Rs. 18,000 on government's purse.

The Madhya Pradesh and the Chattisgarh governments had earlier announced their decision to take care of the farmers' burden.

Meanwhile the Congress President Rahul Gandhi had said on yesterday that he will not let PM sleep until he waives farm loans. To assure this, the Congress will work with the opposition parties and Rahul further said if Modi fails to do this the Congress will waive farm loans when they come to power in 2019.
