' After much speculation, Udayan Raje Bhosle, the 13th descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, has announced that he will be joining the BJP on Saturday. All three Maratha heritage inheritors — Udayan Raje, his brother Shivendra Raje Bhosale, and Sambhaji Raje Bhosale will be in the saffron fold with this.

However, soon before the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, after disagreements with some state politicians, he had left the BJP ; joined the NCP and stayed among Pawar's most trusted aide since then.
