Mumbai: On Saturday, the president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Sharad Pawar, described the decision of his nephew Ajit Pawar to partner with the BJP as indiscipline and said that the Devendra Fadnavis government could not win a floor test in the assembly. Pawar said 10 to 11 NCP MLAs had gone with Ajit Pawar who had been sworn in as deputy chief minister but that would not help with a vote of confidence. "The decision by Ajit Pawar is against the line of the party and is indiscipline. We are positive that on the floor test they won't be able to show majority. They don't have the numbers, "Pawar told Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray at a joint presser. “We have called a meeting of MLAs at 4pm to decide new legislative party leader and on other issues,” Pawar said. Udhav Thackeray also warned the BJP not to poach the MLAs of the Shiv Sena.
