Mumbai: In the midst of a power tussle with the BJP over the formation of government in Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena today sharpened its ally's attack saying BJP minister Sudhir's "president's rule threat" by BJP minister Sudhir Mungantiwar is an "insult" to the state and people's mandate as it warned that it will soon drop its "wait and watch mode".

Sena leader Sanjay Raut today told his ally that the party's "wait and watch mode" will be dropped soon. "In India, the constitution is protected by the president," he said. The term of the new Maharashtra Legislative Assembly expires on 8 November.  Mungatiwar said in his remarks on Friday: "In the stipulated time, a new government will have to be in place, or the President will have to interfere."
