The Third Gender votes

Thursday April 24, 2014 was a very special day for well known Transgender activist Laxmi Tripathi, a resident of Thane who voted for the first time under the third gender category. “It’s a very special day for me and many like us, as we are now the third gender,” said a jubiliant Laxmi ,who flew especially from New Delhi to caste her vote. The development comes after the recent Supreme Court verdict which gave recognition to Transgender as third gender.
