$100,000 for producing Australia's indigenous cricketers
Australian Sports Minister Don Farrell Wednesday announced funding of $100,000 for Cricket Australia (CA) to support two newly-created indigenous cricket officer positions.

Paul Stewart and Josh Lalor have been appointed to these crucial positions to help grow indigenous participation in cricket.

“Australia has a great history of indigenous involvement in cricket. I’m proud that this government is supporting indigenous participation and potential stars of the future by helping enable these two new positions to be created,” said Farrell.

CA's executive general manager Andrew Ingleton said: “Cricket Australia congratulates minister Farrell and the federal government for this investment in indigenous cricket which has helped CA appoint Paul Stewart as national indigenous cricket officer and Cricket New South Wales appoint Josh Lalor as indigenous cricket growth officer.”
