Stanley Varghese Jayan, a class 11 student at Bal Bharati Public School in Navi Mumbai, won one gold and one bronze medal in the Under 19 category at the 3rd WAKO India Open International Kickboxing Tournament, which took place from February 7th to 11th, 2024 at KD Jadhav Indoor Stadium, Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in Delhi. He is the son of Jayan Varghese (Deputy Chief Manager, Times of India, Mumbai) and Gifty Anne Job (Post Graduate Teacher, Bal Bharati Public School, Navi Mumbai).
