CLT20: Bowlers give Kings XI big win

Career best spells by Anureet Singh and Akshar Patel guided Kings XI Punjab to a seven-wicket win over Cape Cobras in the Champions League T20 at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium here Sunday.
Anureet (3/12) and Patel (3/15) triggered a late batting collapse of Cape Cobras, who were skittled out for 135 runs in 18.3 overs
Openers Richard Levi (42) and Hashim Amla (40) gave Cobras a good start with their 60-run stand in just 6.3 overs. Levi struck three sixes and two fours in his 37-ball knock while Amla's whirlwind 22-ball innings had seven fours and a massive six.
Cobras squandered away a good start and lost nine wickets for just 51 runs. The last seven wickets fell for just 18 runs.
In reply, Kings XI achieved the target scoring 139 runs losing three wickets in 18.1 overs.
Wriddhiman Saha remained unbeaten on 42 while Virender Sehwag, Manan Vohra and Glenn Maxwell scored 23 each. David Miller remained unbeaten on 16.
Left-arm spinner Robin Petersen was the most successful of the Cobras' bowlers with two for 19 from his four overs.
