What a way to start the biggest sporting fest in the globe!!! The FIFA World Cup 2018 started with a bang in Russia as the host nation thrashed hopes of Asian challenge Saudi Arabia 5-0 at the Lushnikki Stadium in Moscow.

Russia treated the tens of thousands of home crowd with a goal fest as they controlled the game from the word go. The Asian minnows felt the pressure on the opening night as they were unable to control the ball and lags behind the pace of their opponents.

Saudi's poor defending also made the situation worse for them while Russia's clinical finishing in the final third sealed the match for the hosts.
