Hindustan FC start Delhi league campaign with goalless draw

Hindustan FC started its Delhi Senior Division League campaign with a goalless draw against Youngmen FC at the CWG Sports Complex here Wednesday.
Hindustan FC had a chance to go ahead as early as the second minute, only to be denied by a full-stretched Youngmen FC goalkeeper. The former champions continued to dominate and unleashed a flurry of attacks.
Nigerian recruit O.O. Sola's solo effort from just outside the box kissed the woodwork in the eighth minute before Mehra's stinging shot went straight to the keeper.
Youngmen had a golden chance to go ahead but Hindustan FC goalkeeper, Rajat Guha came into action to deny the opposition a one on one chance.
It was the same story in the second half as Hindustan FC did most of the attacking. Former Mohun Bagan skipper Rishi Kapoor's left footed shot from 30 yards out narrowly missed the target.
Hindustan FC next play Punjab Heroes Tuesday.
