Mumbai, Dec 1: In an address to all Reliance India limited chairman, Mukesh Ambani congratulated all Jio users for making Jio one of the biggest hits across the world and turning into a bigger success story than even Facebook and watsapp. Jio has added more than 900 million users in the last three months thereby being on top of their game in the telecommunication market in India. 

Mukesh Ambani put the entire focus on the rate at which Jio has grown in the last 3 months. While addressing the issue of poor connectivity in the initial months, Jio chairman stated that it was due to 90% calls from Jio to other networks was getting blocked along with disproportionately high data usage by 20% users causing a bad experience for the rest of the 80% users. 

He assured that all towers and network connecting points are being worked on and as of Dec 1 only 20% issues remained while the Jio experience was becoming more enhanced for all users across 100 cities in India. “ As of today only 8% of our towers are facing congestion while the rest 92% are in full use thereby giving a good experience to our users”, mr Ambani stated during his speech. 

At present there are 52 million users registered with Jio and the number is due to rise further as Jio announced its home delivery scheme wherein small traders, businessmen and others can order for a sim and it will be home delivered. Once in possession it will be activated within 5 minutes. The service will soon be available across 100 cities in India. 
  
Jio gives 4 times more data, speed and connectivity than all other major competitors in the market.In a surprise move, the chairman also announced plans of introducing the JIo Happy New year plan wherein all customers who will be buying JIo sim in the coming weeks will get all services including free data, voice calls, apps and other services free of cost till March 31, 2017. The Jio happy New year plan is also applicable to other registered Jio users. 

Mukesh Ambani used the platform to support the Prime Minister on his move to demonitise high denomination currency. “We congratulate and support the Prime Minster for the bold action he has taken and extended the commitment towards further helping the country move towards a digital stage of handling the economy.” 

Jio money will be a way for all to connect their bank accounts with their mobile phones wherein they can use Jio wallet for paying all utility bills along with all other daily transactions including paying vendors in mandis or purchasing bus or rail tickets.”

“We will be launching  JIo Money merchants solution through which small traders, merchants and business men can do all kinds of transactions using this Jio enabled digital eco system for all finances. The idea is to help them adapt to the change in the economy.”

The remonitisztion move is revolutionary and will help bring in transparency and accountability in to the system and Jio has every intention of helping improve digitisation dream ahead, chairman Mukesh Ambani stated today in his speech
