Jitu Rai and Shweta Chaudhary, won the gold and bronze on the first competition day of the 17th Asian Games at Incheon.

World No.5 Rai, fresh from his silver medal finish at the World Championships in Spain, clinched the yellow metal in men’s 50 m pistol while World No.46 Shweta brought home the 10 m air pistol bronze.

It was a disappointing day for the Indian judokas as Sushila Devi, Kalpana Devi and Navjot Channa failed to add to the country’s medal tally on the opening day of competitions at the Dowon Gymnasium here on Saturday
