Nigeria beat Kenya in Afrobasket

Lagos, Nigeria Saturday defeated Kenya 74-49 to win their second Group B match at the 2013 Women African Basketball Championship in Maputo, Mozambique, Xinhua reports.
The match, played at the Maxaquene Stadium, was the first Group B match of the day.
Nigeria's D'Tigress had lost 46-60 to defending champions Angola Friday.
The 23rd edition of the continent's most prestigious women basketball tournament, which is featuring 12 teams, is scheduled to end Sep 29.
The teams are jostling to grab the two Africa tickets to the 2014 FIBA World Championship in Turkey.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian side will face Mali Sunday in their third group match and later meet Cape Verde Tuesday.
The team will face Cameroon in their last Group B game Wednesday to see the end of the first round of the championship.
