No extra security steps for Sochi Olympics, says Russia

In the light of two deadly blasts in Russia's Volgograd, no extra security measures will be taken for the upcoming Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
"As for the Olympics, all necessary security measures have been taken. No additional security measures will be taken in Sochi. Everything necessary has been done," Russian Olympic Committee president Alexander Zhukov told reporters Monday, reports Xinhua.
He added that Russia will introduce a fan passport during the Games.
"It will be an identification document, a kind of an accreditation document."
A suicide bomber ripped a railway station in Volgograd, killing 17 people and injuring 45 others Sunday.
Another bomb went off Monday morning in a trolley-bus in the same city, some 690 km northeast of Sochi, leaving at least 14 people dead and 28 others wounded.
The 22nd Winter Olympic Games are slated for Feb 7-23, 2014, with 98 sets of medals up for grab.
