French Olympic gold medallist swimmer Amaury Leveaux Monday announced his retirement after achieving his "career goals".
"I have all the medals I need and done everything I want to in swimming," said Leveaux who celebrated his 28th birthday last Monday.
Leveaux won an Olympic gold in the 4x100m freestyle relay with teammates Fabien Gilot, Clement Lefert and Yannick Agnel and a silver in the 4x200m freestyle relay at the 2012 London Games.
