Petkovic wins WTA Tournament of Champions

Andrea Petkovic of Germany won the WTA Garanti Koza Tournament of Champions here after beating Flavia Pennetta of Italy 1-6, 6-4, 6-3.
After a disastrous first set Sunday night, Petkovic came back in the game breaking Pennetta's first serve in the second set, while in the third set the breakthroughs were three against one for Petkovic, reports Xinhua.
The fourth seed, born in Bosnia, lifted her third WTA title of the season and fifth of her career, warmly applauded by 7,000 spectators including Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev at Arena Armeec Hall.
The 27-year-old moved up three places in the WTA rankings to finish the season in 14th place.
