Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday submitted for parliament's approval a supplementary demands for grants to the tune of Rs.56,256 crore.

 
While the net cash outgo is estimated at around Rs.18,195 crore, the balance will be met from savings and improved recoveries.
 
The second batch of supplementary demands for grants was tabled in the parliament is mainly towards defence pensions (Rs.5,735 crore), Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Rs.2,155 crore) and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (Rs.3,000 crore).
