There is no stopping Virat Kohli, the run-machine of Indian cricket, who on Friday slammed yet another Test double hundred, his fourth in successive Test series.
Kohli surpassed Don Bradman and Rahul Dravid by becoming the first batsman to score double hundreds in four successive series. The first one he scored against West Indies and then followed up in the series against New Zealand, England and now Bangladesh.
The 28-year-old is going through a dream run, be it batting or captaincy. Kohli is yet to lose a series across all formats as captain.
Kohli’s day was made when his idol Sachin Tendulkar lauded him after he scored the record-breaking double century against Bangladesh in the ongoing one-off Test in Hyderabad.
Earlier, Kohli had equalled Tendulkar’s record (14) for most hundreds in successful run chases. The Indian captain had a prolific 2016, where he scored 1,215 runs in Tests at an average of 75.93.
