Sharapova eases through to fourth round of French Open

World number two and defending Roland Garros champion, Russia's Maria Sharapova, qualified for the fourth round of the tournament.

  She beat Australia's Samantha Stosur 6-3, 6-4 in one hour and 40 minutes on Friday
 
 Sharapova will next face 11th-seeded Czech Lucie Safarova, who eliminated Germany's Sabine Lisicki 6-3, 7-6 (7-2).
