Tendulkar to mentor 11 young cricketers

India's cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar will be mentoring 11 young and rising stars who were signed-up by sports major Adidas on Monday.
The young stars are Unmukt Chand, Parvez Rasool, Vijay Zol, Manan Vohra, Manpreet Juneja, Rush Kalaria, Chirag Khurana, Akshdeep Nath, Vikas Mishra, Sarfaraz Khan and Aparajith Baba.
Tendulkar said by mentoring the young cricketers he will be able to give back something to the game from which he retired last year.
"This is a great initiative from Adidas to support the future of this sport, which encourages aspiring athletes to follow their passion and be part of an extraordinary league. Mentoring these talented young cricketers will let me be close to what I love and give back to the sport," Tendulkar said.
Tushar Goculdas, Brand Director, Adidas India, hoped that the young cricketers would make in big under Tendulkar's mentoring.
"We hope that each of them go on to represent the country one day. With a fantastic portfolio of current and next generation cricketers, and the most cutting edge products in the world, we have the ultimate combination that will take the adidas brand and our cricket business to the next level,” he added.
