Actress Trisha Krishnan has signed filmmaker Thiru Krishnamurthy's yet-untitled next Tamil project, to be produced by her fiance Varun Manian under his home banner Radiance Media.

  "Trisha was so stunned by her exceptional character that she didn't want to miss it. The actress will be seen essaying a village belle against the backdrop of Kumbakonam and she will be present throughout the film," read a statement.
 
 The film features Jai Sampath in the lead role.
 
 Regular shooting of the film will start from March.
 
 This is Trisha's first film after her engagement to Varun a couple of weeks back.
