Chandigarh: Indian returned from Italy this week tested positive to COVID-19 and were admitted to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Amritsar.
Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu informs two Indians who returned from the coronavirus-hit area Italy, were preliminary diagnosed positive and their samples have also been sent for the second confirmation to the Pune lab. Both were admitted to isolation ward after showing symptoms of the disease on their arrival on March 3.
A large number of people from Punjab are settled in Italy, and the state government is cautiously watching about their arrival to the state.
