NEW DELHI: Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and strictly subjected to our internal matters, said India as a reply to the resolution passed by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) raising their concerns on Kashmir.
Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj had urged the OIC to force nations to stay away from encouraging terrorism. It was followed by the OIC's resolution raising concerns in Jammu and Kashmir's current situation.
"Our stand is consistent and well known. We reaffirm that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and is a matter strictly internal to India," India said.
During the OIC summit on Friday, Sushma Swaraj did not name Pakistan in her 17-minute address and said that fight against terrorism is not against any particular religion.
"Islam's meaning itself is peace. There is no place for violence in any of the 99 synonyms of Allah. Islam and other religions are teaching love, peace and brotherhood", she said.
