Six months after Jammu and Kashmir's top leaders were placed under preventive custody, the Union Territory administration slapped a stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) on Thursday on former chief ministers Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah and two other national conference and PDP politicians. Their six-month preventive custody was ending on Thursday. They were put under detention following the abrogation of Article 370.
