New Delhi: One day after the Center decided to withdraw Special Protection Group (SPG) protection from the Gandhi family, Congress president Sonia Gandhi wrote to the head of the elite force on Saturday, thanking him for the "unfailing high professionalism, commitment to duty and honesty" that the organization has been protecting them for years. The letter from the president of Congress comes after the government of Narendra Modi has decided to withdraw the SPG cover given to Gandhi family members-Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka.
