Marking the 150th anniversary of the Best Bus Service, a special exhibition was held at the Anik Nagar bus depot. This unique event showcased the oldest Best Buses and a variety of other historical items, offering a fascinating glimpse into the service’s rich past.

On Thursday, the 150th anniversary of the BEST transport service, which began operating horse-drawn carriage services in Mumbai (then known as Bombay) on May 9, 1874, was observed.

The earliest horse-drawn trams in Bombay ran on two routes: from Bori Bunder (now Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus) to Pydhonie and from Colaba to Pydhonie (nearby Mumbadevi Temple) via Crawford Market in South Mumbai.
