Mumbai: On Friday the Shiv Sena said it had never used the name of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj or Indira Gandhi, the late Prime Minister, for political gain. In an editorial in its mouthpiece ' Saamana ' the party made certain observations about gangster Karam Lala, saying that he once headed a Pathan community organization and drew inspiration from Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, who is also called Frontier Gandhi. The leading constituent in the ruling coalition of Maharashtra said that Indira Gandhi had always been revered, who it said had a majestic and powerful personality.
