Women Achievers Honoured at a Summit in Navi Mumbai

During the Women’s Summit 2024, held last week at the Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed University) complex in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, on the theme “Women on the Rise as Enablers and Contributors,” ten exceptional women received recognition for their noteworthy contributions to society and for their distinguished services in a variety of fields.

What’s impressive is that some of them had persevered through adversity and proved their tenacity.

The Summit provided a forum for thought-provoking discussion, inspiring teamwork, and collaboration while emphasising women’s critical role in ensuring everyone’s better future.

The event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the event convenor and founder promoter, Neel Ramesh. Alongside him, Dr Premasish Roy, dean and director of Bharati Vidyapeeth Department of Management Studies, played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the summit. Their warm welcome to the guests set the tone for the event.

Attracting over 100 attendees, the event demonstrated its widespread popularity and significance. Representatives from the business, academic, entrepreneurship, and social sectors were present, and they all contributed their distinct viewpoints and life experiences.

Notably, the  Summit featured keynote speakers and engaging panel discussions, showcasing the evolving role of women in today’s society. It celebrated the achievements of women entrepreneurs, professionals, and leaders who have attained remarkable success and paved the way for others to thrive.

Distinguished dignitaries graced the occasion, including Vimala. R. IAS, CEO of Maharashtra State Khadi and Village Industries Board, Sheetal Panchal, director general of MEDC, Madhavi Suryavanshi, deputy commissioner of State Tax Legal Branch Maharashtra and Randeep Datta, PMG, ADG CRPF.

The Summit was a collaborative effort among the Association of Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs Navi Mumbai, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Department of Management Studies, Navi Mumbai, and the Indian Society of Training and Development – Navi Mumbai Chapter.
