BMC Observes Shiv Jayanti

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais attended the Shiv Jayanti celebrations on Monday, February 19, organised by Mumbai’s municipal corporation, Brihan Mumbai Mahanagarpalika (BMC), at Krida Bhavan near Shivaji Park Mumbai.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, also known as Shivaji Jayanti, commemorates the birth anniversary of Shivaji, the founder of the Maratha Empire, and is a public holiday in Maharashtra.

The BMC music department held a cultural show featuring patriotic songs about the life and work of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

In addition, the Governor announced a Rs. 25000 prize for the BMC’s music department.

Further, administrator Dr I S Chahal and additional municipal commissioner Dr Ashwini Joshi were present at the event.
