Maharashtra NCC Directorate Receives “Governor’s Citation” in Recognition
Following the Maharashtra NCC Directorate’s incredible accomplishment of winning the Prime Minister’s Banner 23 times, Governor Ramesh Bais of Maharashtra awarded them the esteemed “Governor’s Citation.” On Thursday 30th May, the ceremony was held at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai.
The Citation was handed over to Major General Yogender Singh, VSM, the Additional Director General of NCC Maharashtra, in recognition of the Directorate’s outstanding performance and dedication. The event was attended by officers of the Armed Forces, Vice Chancellors of universities, and enthusiastic NCC cadets, who gathered to celebrate this significant accomplishment.
This award is evidence of the Maharashtra NCC Directorate’s unwavering excellence in discipline and training—a level that has been raised. The Directorate has substantially contributed to the country’s development by encouraging youth civic engagement and leadership, as evidenced by the Governor’s Citation.
