Diamantaire Russell Mehta Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

At the 50th Gem and Jewellery Export Awards instituted by the India Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council on Saturday, Diamantaire Russell Mehta, managing director of Rosy Blue, was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at a glittering ceremony at Hotel Trident Mumbai.

Rosy Blue India, the subsidiary of the family-owned Indian conglomerate Rosy Blue, has stakes in retail, media, real estate, financial services, and diamonds.

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais presented awards to various exporters in the presence of Reliance Group Chairman Mukesh Ambani.

Awards in different categories, such as highest turnover, industry performance, fashion jewellery, and socially responsible company awards, were presented to different companies.

Vipul Shah, president of the India Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council; Kirit Bhansali, vice president; Milan Choksi, award committee convener and Anup Mehta, president of the Bharat Diamond Bourse, were prominent among those present.
