The newly appointed Consul General of Australia in Mumbai, Paul Murphy, expressed his country’s desire to establish two-way direct flights connecting Brisbane and Perth to Mumbai, adding that Australia was keen to promote two-way tourism in the future. The Australian envoy made the remarks during a recent visit to Mumbai’s Raj Bhavan with State Governor Ramesh Bais.
Describing India as a trusted partner of Australia, Murphy said that besides enhancing business and trade cooperation, he will strive to promote collaboration between Maharashtra and co-production and art and culture.
Welcoming the Consul General to Maharashtra, the Governor expressed the hope that Australia would further enhance cooperation with state universities.
