Maha CM Felicitates BMC Commissioner

Recently, while addressing a gathering of about 1000 citizens, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde mentioned the pivotal role played by IS Chahal, municipal commissioner, BMC, Mumbai, in the creation of the 300-acre Mumbai Central Park, which includes voluntary surrender of 120 acres of Mahalaxmi Racecourse by Royal Western India Turf Club to BMC, Mumbai.

The Minister felicitated the BMC municipal commissioner for his outstanding contribution to this near-impossible mission.

Creating a 300-acre Mumbai Central Park in the prime South Mumbai area, along with BMC’s ongoing execution of nearly ₹1.5 lakh crore of infrastructural works, will transform Mumbai into a world-class city in the next four years.
