Sajad Ahmad Bhat says, “We were sitting here working at this very place. At that time, my aunt had passed away, so we had gone to her house…As soon as we came to know that such an incident had happened in Baisaran Valley, we left here. When we reached Baisaran, many women were crying, so we helped them…”
The 2025 Pahalgam attack, also known as the Pahalgam massacre, was a terrorist assault on Indian Hindu tourists carried out by at least three armed attackers in Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, resulting in the deaths of 26 civilians.
