A petition was filed in the Supreme Court on Saturday seeking registration of First Information Report (FIR), inquiry and action against police personnel involved in the encounter of the four accused in the gang rape and murder of a 27-year-old Telangana veterinarian. Lawyers GS Mani and Pradeep Kumar Yadav filed the petition. We approached the Supreme Court saying the 2014 orders of the supreme court had not been followed. In the wee hours of Friday, all the four accused in the gang-rape case were killed in an encounter by the Telangana Police.
