New Zealand: New Zealand’s finance minister Grant Robertson said that Auckland lockdown is costing NZD 500 million per week. The minister had last week announced an extension to the mortgage deferral scheme which was set to expire on September 27, by six months and which will now end in March 2021.
The minister also added that the Treasury department’s estimate fits within the range of other economic forecasts of NZD 300 – 600 million per week.
