Pakistan to boycott India

Pakistan's Information and Broadcasting Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain stated that the country’s film exhibitor’s association has decided to boycott Indian Films.

The Pakistan government on Tuesday declared that Indian films will be banned in the country after the Indian Air Force attacked and destroyed a terror training camp in Balakot. Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said that Pakistan’s Film Exhibitors Association will be boycotting the Indian Films.

Hussain tweeted, “Cinema Exhibitors Association has boycotted Indian content, no Indian movie will be released in Pakistan. Also, have instructed PEMRA to act against Made India Advertisements. #PakistanTayarHai”.

The decision came on the day when the Indian Air Force attacked and killed a “very large number” of Jaish-e-Mohammed’s (JeM) terrorists, trainers and senior commanders in Balakot in Pakistan’s restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, about 80-km from the Line of Control (LoC).

The Air strikes were the retaliation for a suicide bombing by JeM killing 40 CRPF Indian soldiers.
