Mumbai: Sampradaya patashala , an initiative started by the Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam , that integrates teaching and training of traditional practices along with regular school/college
education. It is an institution that gives education with the essence of culture thereby encourage care for the community and people we live with – and finally prepare
ourselves to serve the country with desa bhakti, devotion, dedication, courage and commitment.                                                                                            

The first batch of Sampradaya was started in 2015 at Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu, with 15 students. In two years, it has grown to a strength of 120 students. Sampradaya
extended to Hyderabad and then Nashik for students in Maharashtra. It is totally a residential institution for girls students. The vidyarthis are given all the necessary
facilities free of cost. The inmates have a regular schedule with due care for traditional cultural education and school/college education.

                                                                                             

Sampradaya offers regular schooling and college education in courses like B.Com (Regular), B.Com (Computer), B.Sc Mathematics, B.A Sanskrit.
Along with that students also get regular education; opportunity to learn, develop and to train themselves in various life skills. Classes in classical music – vocal, Veena and violin
are conducted. Learning Sanskrit and various Stotras is an integral part of the curriculum. As part of their education , 50 girls students visited Sri Shankara Mattham, Matunga, and
took part in the Kanhiha puja held at the Mattham along with Mumbai girls during Navaratri celebration. They were given new dresses and sweets.
Later the orphanage students from nearby BJ Home also visited the Shankara Mattham and were given sweets by the Mattham.
