Society for Rural Improvement and Sri Vidhyalaya, Palakkad, is celebrating its 23rd anniversary at SRI Auditorium, Kollengode, Palakkad, on Friday, 20th December 2019. High-profile dignitaries will grace the family get together and related functions.
The event will be inaugurated by Shri K. Krishnankutty, Minister for Water Resource, Govt. of Kerala. Dr. Sasi Tharoor, Member of Parliament, Govt. of India will deliver the keynote speech on economic independence and social status of women. Shri K. Babu, MLA, Govt. of Kerala will deliver the presidential address. IAS officer T.K. Jose will also address the gathering and distribute the scholarship on the occasion. Several other dignitaries will also address the audience.
On this occasion, the award winner of K.P. Kesava Menon and founder-chairman of SRI, renowned poet Sri Iyyenkode will be honoured.
Society for Rural Improvement, over the last two decades, has been embarking upon socio-economic empowerment process of rural women with dedication and commitment. Sri Vidhyalaya has been striving for the overall development of village community children with focus on human values, character development through education, extra-curricular activities, student protection, and so on. Located at Aruvannoor Parambu, near to Mahakavi P Smarakam, Kollengode, Palakkad, the school is known for its moderate fees and no donation.
