Kalady Sree Narayana Dharmashram head priest Srimad Saigan Swamy said that the works of Sree Narayana Guru are the steps to Advaita thought, the realization of the thought that man is one and that one race is a human race will only lead to good in the world.  He was talking on the occasion of second anniversary of ‘Anpu’, a study centre for Sree Narayana Guru’s kritis and the centenary celebration of Guru’s famous kriti ‘Jathinirnayam’ at Nerul Gurudevagiri B Rajanand auditorium.

                                                                                                            

Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, Jyothis Mohan, IRS while inaugurating the celebrations, said that the things that people begin to be learn at the age of 70 years are being implemented at an early age by a group called ‘Anpu’, and the teaching of Gurudev’s works in everyday life makes one a good man.

Delivering his speech as a special guest, Sree Narayana Mandira Samiti General Secretary N. S. Salim Kumar said that the proper study of Gurudev’s works will be free from casteist thinking and that Mumbai people are doing better than Kerala.

Spiritual and material progress is the basis of philosophy and whatever the money, status or glory it requires, the ultimate progress must be given to the Guru's words: concentration, virtue and oneness. Dr. Sureshkumar Madhusudanan, former chairman of the Shivagiri pilgrimage committee and managing director of the Seagull Group of Companies urged that Gurudeva’s work can only be understood and realized through study. 

Author Nirmala Mohan talked about the centenary of Guru’s book ‘Caste Nirnayam’. Filmmaker and entrepreneur Murali Mattummal, former chairman of the committee and former union president Harilal Pottath, former Mumbai Thane union secretary P. P. Padmanabhan, Yogam board member Balesh and Mumbai Thane Union women's group president Jagadamma Mohan, Secretary Suma Jayadas, Mira Road, Dombivli Branch, secretaries S. Latheesh, Karthikeyan, Ghatkopar Branch Vice President Jayan Pullani, union vaidika committee secretary K. K. Madhusudanan, coordinator Shantha Velayudhan, Preeti Mangalath and Jaya Balan also spoke and recited Gurudeva's works.

                                                                                                                  

Sivaprasada Panchakam, sung by four-and-a-half year old Devanand was a treat to watch. Kannur Thottada Gowri teacher’s poetry recital lended charm to the ceremony. Sridevi Sundaresan delivered a lecture on Guru Devan's God's image.

In the presence of learners from India and Kuwait, Bijukumar welcomed the participants and TK Mohan expressed gratitude.  A member of Anpu family and the daughter of Nivedita Bhasi, Sonu Bhasi, who passed the solicitor's exam and Sneha Chilanka and Abhinayashree awardee Harilakshmi Priyan, were honoured at the function. P K Balakrishnan, Alka Balakrishnan Suchindran Mangalath and Pradeep Kumar led the programme. The delicious food prepared by the Royal Rasoi was loved by all.
