Kolkata: On Wednesday, West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar said he was "hurt" as no senior government official attended the unveiling of a portrait of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 95th birthday at the Raj Bhavan in Kolkata. The idea of unveiling a late prime minister's three-dimensional portrait was conceived on November 27, and that day an invitation letter was sent to chief minister Mamata Banerjee, he told reporters here. "The CM is the executive head and I didn't say she has to unveil (the portrait), she may have many other obligations and I have the utmost respect for her. My concern is not that she couldn't come, but lack of government and bureaucracy representation has hurt me," said the governor.
