For the music and cultural lovers of Mumbai, the annual event organised by the PR and Corporate Communication batch of the Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC)- ISTORIA was very colourful and full of vibrant energy which almost charges up the atmosphere to a hue of different strokes of music and colours.
The event is the fifth consecutive celebration of music and harmony synchronised to sooth all nerves and bring in a sense of calm and peace in the environment. True to the Xavier spirit of living up to all expectation every thing about the event was perfect to the notes of T. Right from the entrance to the grand stage set in the backdrop of the historic college architecture, it was a night dedicated to the thousand lights illuminating the human heart with the magic of enthralling music.
Then came the grand finale that everyone was waiting for with bated breath. The lights went off and when they came back on, there were a 100 musicians on stage, all in black and gleaming smiles, ready to pull off a great show! They were ready for the tribute to their idol, a Bollywood Maestro who has created music unlike the others, Mr. Amit Trivedi who was also present and seated in the first row. The musicians were a combination of vocalists, guitarists, drummers and percussionists.
They began with Amit Trivedi's compositions "Iktara", followed by "Zinda" and there after concluded with his most recent tracks "Love you Zindagi". Moved by the performance, Amit Trivedi joined them at the end and sang a few lines of the same song. It was an excellent performance presented by the talented PR batch of XIC. T Istoria left the audience feeling rejuvenated and ecstatic from the healing touch of music and light hearted fun
The event saw the presence of Fr. Lawrence Ferrao SJ, Director of XIC, Dr J B Mistry, Dean of XIC, Mr. Rajeev Chawla, Course Head of PR & Corporate Communication at XIC.
