With the arrest on Saturday of three men, including a woman from the same family who is suspected of masterminding silent deaths over the years for six of her kin with cyanide-laced meat, state police said. Arrests came one day after the dead family members ' mortal remains, allegedly killed between 2002 and 2016, were exhumed from their tombs in northern Kerala to test the police theory of Jolly Thomas, 47,former wife of deceased Roy Thomas who died mysteriously in 2011. "We arrested Jolly Thomas, her friend M Mathew, who arranged potassium cyanide and Praju Kumar, a jewelry worker who supplied the poisonous substance," Police officials said. The mother-in-law of Jolly Thomas, Anamma Thomas, died the first in 2002, followed in 2008 by her son Tom Thomas. Jolly’s former husband Roy Thomas died in 2011 and Roy’s maternal uncle Mathew died in 2014.
